Tree Water is a young, innovative company that designs and manufactures industrial effluent treatment/recycling systems. Our teams are made up of scientists and technicians who have applied advanced oxidation processes that have led to the filing of a patent.

Our technologies are custom-developed: parameters and upstream/downstream treatment combinations are tailored to treatment objectives, constraints and spatial configuration. We have chosen to manufacture our own equipment and integrate technological building blocks designed and produced by our partners, to ensure that our systems are perfectly suited to the challenges of industrial water treatment and reuse.

Our multi-disciplinary teams are made up partly of scientists and industrial experts, but also of marketing and financial specialists. We also work with a number of partners to develop our business.

Location and geographical sector:


Treewater's activities are based in Lyon. It's preferable to be located in the Rhône Alpes region to guarantee a certain proximity to the scientific teams. However, this is not a prerequisite.
We're a young company, so the area we cover is vast: the whole of France, as well as the EU zone for our international development projects. This is a nomadic position, requiring frequent travel and physical presence at customer sites.

Experience & qualifications


Successful experience (5+ years) in B2B business development in a technical environment (ideally water treatment, process engineering, environment or industry). It is essential to have knowledge of the industrial environment and associated partnerships for the sale of projects/machinery, and to understand industrial issues related to water (regulations, ICPE, discharge standards, etc.).

This field demands an entrepreneurial spirit and a solution-oriented approach. Thanks to our tried-and-tested installations, we have a solid base from which to innovate and develop our business. Conviction, efficiency and ambition will be key assets to complete our team.
The products are technical, the language has a scientific connotation, so you need to be at ease in this register. A scientific background or experience of selling technical or customized products would be a plus.
Fluency in English is a must, as many of the company's customers are international groups, as well as foreign countries.
The company is a start-up with operating methods that require trust, flexibility, autonomy and rigor. A good working atmosphere is a must.

Education : engineering school or equivalent (process, environment, chemistry, water) with a commercial background OR business school with a strong technical background.

After a period of development and a start-up phase for commercial activities, our company is now entering a phase of scaling up. The growing number of R&D projects, the development of new industrial projects and the integration of new technologies and partners have led us to strengthen our teams.

To keep pace with our growth, we need a versatile resource who can help us structure a number of administrative tasks, carry out a number of operational actions in the supply chain and scientific areas, and monitor business activity.

You will be responsible for prospecting, identifying business opportunities, and managing projects with industrial customers (laundry, textile, chemical, pharmaceutical, agro, etc.).

Areas of responsibility & main activities:


Ø Build and maintain a portfolio of qualified prospects (HSE managers, technical directors, CEOs of SMEs).
Ø Manage the sales cycle from A to Z: prospecting, needs analysis, technical response with the support of in-house teams, negotiation, closing.
Ø Set up a prescription plan to promote our technologies to manufacturers and other stakeholders in the environmental and water treatment sectors.
Ø Set up partnerships with key players in the sector to create synergies, as long as these fit in with the business development plan.
Ø Develop sales of mature technologies for our industrial customers.
Ø Represent the company at trade fairs and support scientists in their representation at forums, competitive clusters and other events to promote our technologies and those of Treewater.
Ø Assist teams throughout the product cycle: design, pilot, equipment installation, follow-up and maintenance.
Ø Keep an active watch on developments in the sector (technologies, standards, players, calls for tender).
